Tony Gunning
Tony Gunning's work ranges from social realism to traditional subjects but azure skies, stark contrast and irregular perspective are recurring style motifs. At EV+A 2007 (Ireland's pre-eminent International Contemporary Art showcase) he won the Curator's Award and the Bank of Ireland's inaugural Recognition Award for an Emerging Artist. Two of his works were purchased by the bank for their corporate collection. He has exhibited at the European Parliament in Brussels and at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London. In 2005 he was invited to represent Ireland at the 5th Florence Biennale. His work has been selected for Iontas, éigse and RHA Annual Exhibitions.
