Suzy O'Mullane completed post-graduate studies in Crawford College of Art & Design, and has made a powerful impression on expressive figurative painting and drawing in Ireland Europe and UK where she has been acquired by private and public collectors. She is an artist of acute sensitivity. She is a poet with a paintbrush, who distils deep, often complicated and conflicting emotions into simple and beautiful images. Her language is paint and charcoal; her expression, a palette of pure and joyous colour. She has developed her own distinctive style, but her work has reflected references to the international figurative masters whose work she admires: Rego, Freud, Kahlo and Kollwitz.
