Roisin Kinsella graduated from Crawford College of Art & Design in 2007, and received Cork Arts Society Student of the Year 2007, and also The Cork Arts Society Crawford Student of the Year Award 2007. Selected for the RDS Student Awards Traveling Exhibition, and the RDS Student Art Awards, her solo show in the Lavit was a great success. "Kinsella allows her material to do the work, the abstract forms hold elements of the figure, then they dissolve but in that dissolution they express the clarity and beauty of an artistic energy that has been allowed to evolve slowly and naturally" CIRCA Magazine. Aidan Dunne, The Irish Times chief Art Critic described Kinsella as one of the students ‘on the edge of an exciting breakthrough'. "I describe my paintings" she explains, "as journeys to places of quiet anticipation…. Going beyond the appearance of things to discover the hidden inscape."
