Holly Dungan Born in Co Wexford in 1986, she graduated from Dublin IT with an Honours Degree in Fine Art; she has won awards while still at college and was chosen for the current Graduate Group Show in Lemonstreet Gallery, Dublin.

"Inspired by the glimpse of subtle artificial lights in the night-time landscape, I have constructed a fictional depiction of my view from a car or train in various formats. I find the far away, otherworldly lights of towns, homes and floodlights beautiful from a distance yet deterring at close range like a psychological border that affects those inside and out. In the stillness of the landscape and the dreamlike colours linger hints of the sublime. It is this use of colour and the quiet renditions of nowhere in particular that reveal a sense of longing and wonderment for what lies beyond my knowledge." Holly says of her work.
