Damaris Lysaght
Damaris Lysaght was born in Belfast and grew up in Doneraile, Co Cork. She studied Fine Art at Crawford and at NCAD and was awarded an Italian Government
Scholarship to study in Florence for four years with the renowned teacher of classical painting Nerina Simi.
Damaris says of her work "Nature and the eco-systems have evolved over the millennia giving rich tapestries of biodiversity. The colours, textures, patterns
and light effects are endless and ever changing. It is in this realm I find inspiration for my paintings....and I endeavour to capture a moment of this."
Solo exhibitions include Tom Caldwell Gallery in Dublin and in Belfast; An Cibeal, Kenmare; Fournier St., Spitalfields, London, Joan Clancy Gallery,
Haugaard's Studio, Ballydehob. Damaris has participated in numerous group shows in Ireland and abroad; she has works in private collections in Ireland,
Italy France, USA, Australia, and in corporate collections in Ireland.
