Ivan Daly celebrates the Waterford coast in Joan Clancy Gallery
Ivan Daly, one of Ireland's most distinctive coastal artists has a new exhibition Fuaim na Farraige coming up in Joan Clancy Gallery.
Opening on June 8th by Dr Joe Moynihan, School of Education UCC, who was Ivan's art teacher in St Augustine's College, Abbeyside, Fuaim na Farraige - Coastways depicts dramatic and rugged locations along the coastline of Co Waterford from Newtown Head in the east, through the Copper Coast Geopark to Clonea Strand in the middle of the county.
Ivan grew up in Ballinroad, Dungarvan and graduated with a Degree in Printmaking from Limerick School of Art & Design; his work forms part of national and international collections.
He has exhibited at the RHA and RUA annual exhibitions, and throughout Ireland, the UK and in Singapore. Daly was a contestant in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2015.
Fuaim na Farraige - Coastways will be open June 9 -24 from 11 -5pm daily including the weekends and is well worth a visit.
