Now that Covid restrictions have eased, Crawford College of Art & Design (CCAD) CIT multi-award winning grad Deirdre Frost is looking forward to hanging her solo exhibition titled Claochló -Transformation in Joan Clancy Gallery near the Cunnigar overlooking Dungarvan Bay in the Waterford Gaeltacht opening June 10-20 daily 11am-5pm including the weekends, or online if government directives apply.

The show will be opened by Evelyn Grant who presents Weekend Drive on RTE lyric fm.

Claochló - Transformation is the outcome of the 2020 CCAD CIT Joan Clancy Gallery Award which Joan and her family have supported for the last number of years. It is particularly meaningful for Deirdre to show her work in a Gaeltacht area as she grew up in an Irish-speaking family in Inniscarra, Co. Cork.

Art critic Eleanor Flegg praised Student of the Year, Deirdre Frost whose recent online exhibition at the Lavit Gallery in Cork was a resounding success as was her appearance last month on Nationwide RTÉ One. "Some pieces" explains Frost, "represent the shrinking and collapsing of our 'world' during the last months in lockdown in 2021, breaking up of life as we knew it and reassembled as best we can in a small physical space".
