Draíocht na Nollag - Christmas Group Show
Draíocht na Nollag the Christmas Exhibition featuring exquisite landscapes by the highly regarded Damaris Lysaght opens in Joan Clancy Gallery, An Rinn in
the Waterford Gaeltacht over the two weekends in December 7,8, 14,15 from 11am-5pm each of those days and also by appointment.
The richness of colours, textures and light effects of the coastal environment of West Cork inspires Lysaght's work. Her ecological concerns are expressed
in detailed observations of the wild flora, fauna, land and seascape. She works en plein air mostly in oils. Her work forms part of private and corporate collections in Ireland and abroad.
Damaris' family has had a long association with An Rinn. Her grandfather, who perfected his Irish in An Rinn circa 1902, was the renowned Dr. Edward Mac
Lysaght, Chief Herald of Ireland.
All are welcome to Joan Clancy Gallery which showcases some of Ireland's best artists, overlooking Dungarvan Bay in Mweelahorna, Ring (An Rinn) near
Coláiste na Rinne, Irish College and the Cunnigar beach where there is lots free parking.
