Christmas Show sparkles in Joan Clancy Gallery
Feile na bPictiur the Christmas Show in Joan Clancy Gallery sparkles with a vibrant collection of cityscapes worked in oil on canvas by Caoimhghin O Croidheain depicting Dublin as it is today.
There are also some very striking pieces examining the role of memory in old family photographs in a historic context, and landscapes by Arthur Maderson, Blawnin Clancy, Andrea Jameson,
Conor O'Mahony and Rayleen Clancy.
The current issue of Irish Arts Review says "The Joan Clancy Gallery's relatively remote location in the Waterford Gaeltacht is just one of its manifold charms".
"We are pleased to exhibit Caoimhghin O Croidheain's much sought-after work for the first time in Joan Clancy Gallery" says Joan. "O Croidheain obtained a BA (Hons) degree
in Fine Art in NCAD and got a Masters degree from DCU in Communications and Cultural Studies. Caoimhghin is an Irish speaker and holds a PhD in Language and Politics. He currently works
in DCU and lectures part time on aesthetics and the history of Irish art for Boston University in Dublin".
Joan Clancy Gallery is located 10K south of Dungarvan in Mweelahorna, An Rinn down the road from Coláiste Na Rinne (Ring College) in the scenic Co Waterford Gaeltacht. 15k from Ardmore.
